I hear you, JT, and see the benefits of the pre-recorded videos, however I generally tailor my stories based on the job description, and sometimes also based on the vibe / research I have done on my interviewers. But I do see it as a way to stand out and may give it a try - thanks!

Job interviewing from the manager's side. We are under pressure to look for the 100% fit for the job, skill-wise and culture-wise. We aren't as stupid as bean counters hope we are when we interview. As far as AI is concerned, we created our own problem. It costs a great deal of money to hire and no one today or in 1996 (when I started interviewing others) wants to spend the money. Is there an answer, be authentic, be valuable, don't play the match game.

McCoy is only available for iOs and therefore only a solution for probably less than half of job seekers, as many more people use Android. There has got to be another solution besides an app that a large chunk of job seekers can't use. If you are looking for work, you likely can't afford to go purchase an Apple device just for this app. It can't come down to use McCoy or never break through the ceiling. Is there some sort of comparable service for everyone else?

The company is showing you who they are. Any company that treat you that way is a company that you should NOT work for. I’ve know people who were the vitamin and still didn't get the job. These companies do what they want when they want and are not held accountable for misleading information.

People are fake in an interview so that may be why it sounds fake. They're kind of looking for people to be fake. It sounds like a brain Fuckery to me that I don't want to be involved in and won't be.

Quite possibly the worst advice for anyone going for an interview. These are 💯 to be asked if the information is freely given during the interview. 1. Salary - If it were advertised on the role notice then unnecessary applications won't happen. People have family, bills to pay. That's why the go for the job!! If it's under the going rate for the skills/experience required. There's no point going to the next stage. 2.Benifits - Again should be advertised on the job role. Health Plan, Expenses Discount schemes etc. Helps the potential employee decide on if this is the company for them. 3.Promotion Prospects - A 💯 question, they want to know if the company is long term for them. If the company invests in them, then they invest back! It's a 2 way street. Not many want to be stagnant. This also shows the prospect employer that they have someone that is driven. None of the questions show desperation, it shows a candidate that knows what they want from a job/career. I'd be concerned if they didn't ask Q1&2 as a minimum.

Some people find that if they ask for what they want, it comes across as over confident or pushy which can be a big turn off. "If I am that good, then I do not need to ask. They'll just want to give me what I want. If they don't, then perhaps I am not worthy."

Yeah, I would chuck any resume in the trash after the interview if mommy or daddy came with them. The closest they should come to that interview is the parking lot because you needed a ride and a someone to coach you along the way to the interview.

Crazy that people need to fight so much harder now for low 6-figure jobs that barely pay for a median standard of living retired boomers got to enjoy. That brand you talk about needs to be in the minds of your local network, in my opinion. Employers are no longer allowing white collar folks to seek opportunities beyond local boundaries.This is by design.
